PRINCE OF PEACE!

12/22/2002 - #4 - Our Wonderful Lord

 

Okay folks, here’s the deal. In cutting and pasting these messages for the Expository Echoes I found a problem.  I don’t have a full text message for part #4 of Our Wonderful Lord.  I do have an outline however.  If you’re a preacher, write your own message using the outline.  If you’re a reader, please do your own study.

 

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

 

How ironic!

We lack peace in the world.

So many lack peace in their hearts.

But Jesus Christ is the PRINCE OF PEACE!

 

THE PEACE OF SALVATION

 

Luke 2:11 - For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

 

Luke 2:14 - Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

 

THE PEACE OF SECURITY   

   

Hebrews 7:24-25 - But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. [25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

 

THE PEACE OF SUPPLICATION   

 

Philippians 4:6-7 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
